The Mentor

  • In addition to her own professional commitments, Tamara mentors seven small businesses to help them develop strategies that will establish and grow their companies. Many of them have physically moved from home-based businesses to standard corporate offices and have seen revenue and profit growth increase, on average, twenty percent (20%).
  • Tamara will mentor anyone who is serious about learning and growing in the business world. In an effort to mold young entrepreneurs who may otherwise not have many, if any, opportunities, she began an internship program at THE LEADING NICHE that employs students in underserved communities and provides on-the-job training, which includes analytics and market research. Many of these interns have graduated from the program and moved on to part-time and full-time jobs that have advanced their careers. For example, the first intern with whom she worked—who began on state assistance and had never worn a business suit—went from complete novice to a sophisticated young woman of impeccable business etiquette with the know-how to provide solid office support and advance at the firm. As a graduate of THE LEADING NICHE Emerging Leaders Program, this former intern moved on to the #2 position at a local nonprofit in Manhattan.
